New for 2007: Unique FMV Focus Workshop

Rationale

The amount of imagery and video footage available to today’s forces has grown at an exponential rate. However video and imagery sourced from the latest platforms is very large and data intensive, requiring a lot of communications capability to make it available to the end user. FMV is currently the most exciting technology to be made available to the today’s war fighter. FMV makes video and images from manned and unmanned vehicles available on the ground using off the shelf technology.

Benefits

  • Focusing on the leading FMV projects, keynote speakers will reveal the latest developments in FMV compression, storage and dissemination, and outline what still needs to be done to ensure broader practical implementation of FMV technology. Learn about compressing video and data into downloadable files on a server, which users can access with commonly used Web browsers and software.
  • Discover how FMV can be compressed so that it can support low bandwith users, down to the level of dial-up.
  • Understand how video can be pushed to war fighters in the most austere of conditions, without the need for large amounts of equipment / technicians.

FMV is set to become a crucial addition to the war fighter’s tool set, allowing much broader access to relevant video imagery for forces deployed in the field.

If you have a Full Motion Video solution don’t miss out on your opportunity to demonstrate it at our FMV focus workshop.

Don’t Miss Our LIDAR Focus Workshop

Rationale

Complex operations have seen a growing demand for improved imagery support to troops on the ground. Traditional photogrammetric techniques can only offer so much in isolation, causing the need for increasingly sophisticated alternative sensor technologies to expand dramatically.

LIDAR and 3D modelling techniques are making increasingly important contributions to geospatial support for today’s soldier. LIDAR offers multi-perspective and cost effective imagery which offers a more holistic picture of the situation on the ground. LIDAR can be fused with other data to offer a complete operational picture for the tactical war fighter. Benefits

Join our panel of keynote experts as they cover the latest innovative applications and possibilities with this exciting technology, and discuss what still must be achieved to fully integrate 3D modelling into the war fighter’s tool set.

  • Hear from experts seeking to combine LIDAR imagery with data from hyperspectral sensors
  • Learn how using LIDAR the speed of imagery being processed can be improved
  • Discover the latest developments in getting around cover during wide-area searches
  • Understand how LIDAR can identify targets covered by camouflage or foliage
  • Learn how LIDAR is enhancing target detection in cluttered environments
  • Hear how LIDAR greatly improves your ability to recognise potential targets, and extract intelligence information from them in all aspect angles LIDAR is the most exciting collection technique on offer today, providing the modern war fighter with an enhanced operational picture in real time.

LIDAR Focus Agenda:

13.30 Afternoon Registration
14.00 Merging LIDAR And Softcopy Photogrammetry
15.00 Automatic Integration Of 2D Imagery With 3D Data
16.00 Coffee Break
1700 Combining LIDAR with Other Sources For Multi-Perspective Surveys In Urban Environments
