Overview:

The Defense Logistics 2008 awards ceremony has been established to honor, recognize and promote the logisticians in the US Department of Defense and the Defense Industry that have made a significant contribution to military logistics. These logisticians support interoperability and transformation through logistics initiatives/programs/processes.

To submit your nomination, download the corresponding form below, complete, and email to defense@wbresearch.com with any supporting documentation (i.e report or article of specific program). Call Amol Tembe at 646-200-7442 with any questions.

Goal:

The goal of the Defense Logistics awards ceremony is to recognize people and/or organizations for their tremendous contributions to support the DoD and its ultimate end-user, the warfighter.

The 2008 Defense Logistics Awards Categories Are:

The winners will exemplify the best in current initiatives and undoubtedly set new standards of excellence for incorporating this transformational concept into future work for the DoD and its partners.

The winners of the 2008 Defense Logistics awards ceremony will be announced at the ceremony.

Announcement of Winners:

Award finalists will be announced prior to the show, and winners given to the awards ceremony held during Defense Logistics. The top two or three entries in each category will be denoted as finalists and will be contact in advance of the awards banquet. Our objective Advisory Board will evaluate and score each application through a transparent process. This board contains leading experts and practitioners in defense logistics and judging organizations are excluded from judging categories in which they have submitted an application.

RULE, REGULATIONS AND PROCEDURES:
To be considered for the 2008 Defense Logistics Awards, your entry must meet the following requirements:

1. Each entry should include answers to all of the questions, as well as any attached supporting documents, figures, testimonials, which you are encouraged to include.
2. The entries must be received by 11:59pm EST, October 31, 2008. No late entries will be accepted. The contact person listed on the Application Submission Form will be contacted via e-mail upon receipt of your entry.
3. Each category contains multiple questions, which add up to 100%. Each entry must answer all questions listed. Failure to answer any portion of the application may result in the forfeit of the entry. If your entry fails to meet the requirements and format noted herewith, you may be disqualified. The judges and organizer are not obliged to disclose judging decisions, feedback or scores given.
4. Judging organizations are excluded from judging categories in which they have submitted an application.
5. Award categories are subject to change
