Recently, Don was the Chief Technology Officer, responsible for Chevron’s three technology companies: Energy Technology, Information Technology and Technology Ventures. In this role, he managed the research, development and integrated application of technology throughout the company’s worldwide business activities. He was also the corporate compliance officer for global cyber-security and information protection. Don joined the company in 1975 as a research geophysicist in La Habra, California. During his 32 year career, Paul has held a variety of management positions of increasing responsibility in both the upstream business and technology, including President of Chevron Petroluem Technology Co., and President of Chevron Canada Resources Ltd. |

| Steve Fortune currently holds the position of Information Management Director for the BP Gulf of Mexico Strategic Performance Unit. Steve is a Chemical Engineer with 16 years of experience in project and operational roles within the BP Group. He started his career in the UK with BP Chemicals working in operations, providing manufacturing support for the Acetyls business. After moving through a number of operations and project positions, Steve joined the E&P Segment to take the lead on developing a new BP proprietary Gas to Liquids technology, converting Natural Gas to Synthetic Fuels. During this time he moved through the roles of Engineering Manager, Commissioning Manager, and then the Asset Team Leader for the operation of the GTL business, working both in Houston and Alaska. Jeanne Perdue is Editor of the award-winning Zeus Technology magazine published by Zeus Development Corp. in Houston.
After earning a BS degree in Chemistry from the State University of New York at Albany, Perdue worked at the Texaco research labs, performing core analysis and heavy oil analysis. Then, at the Texaco technical library, she conducted online literature searches for fellow scientists and engineers. She later joined Hart Publications as a technical editor for Petroleum Engineer International and Hart's E&P magazines. Perdue also gained experience in e-learning at IHRDC and in technical marketing with JuMPstart Ventures, her own technical writing business.
An active member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), Perdue was the first woman to be appointed Review Chairman for the SPE Peer Review Committee. She helped develop the SPE Magic Suitcase and the SPE MasterDisc CD-ROM. She has also served on the SPE Public Energy Education Committee and was an SPE Distinguished Lecturer. She was a member of the Board of Directors of the Gulf Coast Section for three years, serving as Community Services Chairman in charge of 14 committees.
Perdue received the SPE Young Member Outstanding Service Award in 1992, was named one of 50 Key IT Women in Energy in 2003 and a Woman of Excellence by the Federation of Houston Professional Women in 2004, and she recently received a Leadership in Technology Award from the Houston Chapter of the Association for Women in Computing. Her magazine won a Distinguished Award at the local level and a Merit Award in the international competition of the Society for Technical Communication.

Jeff Pratt serves as the Americas Chief Knowledge Officer (CKO) for Ernst & Young. As the CKO, he leads a team of 200 people providing knowledge management services to support the firm's strategic objectives. Jeff has recently returned to Ernst & Young to lead these efforts and was one of the original developers of the firm's knowledge management center: the Center for Business Knowledge (CBK).
