AuTx

AuTx is the biggest success story in weight reduction for dismounted soldiers in NATO Partner & Member countries for 40+years. There has not been such a mass reduction since polyamide (Nylon) was replaced by copolyaramids (Kevlar, Twaron, etc) in the 70’s. AuTx is a sopolyaramid that has a dynamic strength twice that of copolyaramids. When combined with the benefits of its fiber thinness, AuTx enables the mass of protective apparel and load carrying equipment being carried by dismounted soldiers / war fighters to be reduced by up to 50%. AuTx is an advanced aramid fiber co-developed by Alchemie and Kamenskvolokno.

Alchemie - Alchemie was founded in 2000. The business focuses on developing and commercializing Russian technology, specifically high strength materials that are stronger then those available outside Russia.
